Random polynomials with different distributions of the coefficients

Abstract

A random aThis thesis studies two types of polynomials with random coefficients, random algebraic polynomials and random trigonometric polynomials are the most studied cases in here. Six different problems have been discussed by obtaining the expected number of level crossings with the employment of the Kac-Rice formula, which is based on the knowledge of stochastic processes. The study is concentrated on the normal distribution with different assumptions set for the coefficients of the polynomials.
