Abstract

Issues of servitization have been a major concern of companies in recent years. As it involves direct customer contact, product maintenance has become an important business strategy feature. Hence, it is necessary to combine servitization concepts with product maintenance services in value chain activities to meet consumer maintenance service demands and enhance company business performance. This objective has rarely been addressed in previous studies. The motherboard industry currently faces multiple shipping charges of reverse logistics, lengthy after-sale product repair times and poor customer satisfaction. This paper examines the motherboard industry as a case study.
