Abstract
The poem 'You Have To Love Them Enough To Let Them Be Wild' was shortlisted for the 2017 Montreal Poetry Prize and subsequently published in Global Poetry Anthology, edited by Kim Addonzio, (Montreal: Vehicule Prss, 2017). The poem is an incantatory protest against the culling of wild mustangs in the American west and a plea for preserving the wild in wilderness.
