Abstract

The Translating Housing research project aimsto inform alternative approaches to housingprovision in Irish/Northern Irish urban environments,in particular Belfast. It presentsresearch and analysis through a series of casestudies of diverse and innovative approachesto housing typologies, financing, and developmentmodels, which have emerged uniquelyin Berlin. And it considers if, how, and in whatform, these typologies could be interpreted inthe Belfast context, particularly in relation tocreating and maintaining inclusive, sustainable,and civil urban society.
