TOKYO JAZZ JOINTS @ Rencontres D'Arles

Research output: Non-textual formExhibition

Abstract

Presented as both part of the 'Nuit De L' Annee' opening and 'Soiree De Cloture' closing events, this multimedia piece ran daily for the entirety of the Rencontres D'Arles festival in 2024, as well as being archived on the 2024 Edition website.

A visual chronicle of Japan's unique jazz kissa culture, Tokyo Jazz Joints showcases unique musical venues dedicated to listening. Found throughout the Japanese archipelago, these are spaces cut off from the speed and chaos of the modern urban landscape, where time stands still.
