Abstract

An interest in repeat pattern, the use of found and reclaimed fabrics, the impact of limitations, chance and serendipity inform this work. Made from linen, calico and silk the piece is hand and machine stitched and is patched and pieced then re worked and has at its heart elements of work exhibited at Platt Hall, the Gallery of Costume in Manchester.
