Abstract

This review explores the suitability of wood pellet boilers for use in domestic households, particularly lower income households. It will explore themes such as: • Advantages of domestic wood pellet heating• Issues and barriers for rolling out wood pellet boilers in the domestic sector• Modelled impacts of installing wood pellet heating in a sample of Northern Ireland households• Social acceptance of renewables in general, and wood pellets in particular
