Abstract

62 Group 'Making Space' Exhibition at Olympia, London, part of the Knitting and Stitching Show from 2nd - 5th March

This work considers the importance of creating the space and time to make work and also the importance of compositional space in an artwork.

It is the first in a series of work which attempts to reassess what is important, what might have been lost and what must be re- discovered and considers the role of the artist as educator. It was selected for the 62Group exhibition 'Making Space' held at Macclesfield Silk Museum in 2016.

This is the second of three venues for this work, an 62 group selected exhibition as part of the Knitting and Stitching Show. The Knitting and Stitching Shows were visited by 27,000 visitors in 2017. Further work in this series was selected for exhibitions in the Ukraine, Italy and France.
