Abstract
This commissioned essay describes the process of drawing and measuring The Glasgow School of Art's Mackintosh designed library which was totally destroyed in the fire of May 2014. The text traces the initial research work which was commissioned for a publication by Phaidon including compiling a notebook with all the detail measurements hand drawn of the Library which then became part of the research process to rebuild and restore the building and library.
