    Abstract

    The clinical necessity for the analysis of oxidised thiol concentrations within physiological fluids has been clarified and current instrumental strategies identified. The various routes through which disulphide species can be analysed are summarised and the salient experimental aspects of each methodology compared and critically appraised.
