    Abstract

The Big Shop Show staged a series of promenade and immersive performances, curatorial interventions, and one-to-one dance performance ‘moments’ throughout Austins Department Store in December 2013. Performances used memories gathered in earlier periods of research, bleeding these into local myths about the store, personal anecdote, and common feelings expressed about this particular and often special location.
