Abstract
The chapters in this section have described the development of sedentary behaviour interventions in response to the observational data presented in Section 4 describing the adverse health outcomes. Whilst many of previous interventions have been of short duration and involved relatively small cohorts, many show that it is feasible to change behaviour across different populations. Overall, these chapters highlight some of the challenges in changing sedentary behaviour.
