The book presents preliminary findings of the AHRC-funded major research project 'Stories of the Sea: A Typological Study of Maritime Memorates in Modern Irish and Scottish Gaelic Folklore Traditions' led by Dr Maxim Fomin and co-directed by Prof. Séamus Mac Mathúna between 01 September 2010 and 01 May 2013.
