Abstract
In order to improve product communication, increase sales efficiency and enter new markets, it was essential to embed digital literacy and a Creative Industries capability into the company. To achieve this, CDE secured a KTP with Ulster University to apply its cutting-edge Design research into the Engineering sector (KTP009750).
* The launch was attended by 94 people, representing 38 universities, 26 large UK businesses and a mix of sector bodies, government and other stakeholders.
* The online version of the report has been viewed 2.4k times, and the version we host on issue has been read 527 times.
* The printed copy of the report was shared with all out members – 80 universities and 50 large UK business + all attendees at the launch.
* It was also shared with various UK government departments and royal academies/societies, UKRI, Research England, OfS, Innovate UK, Scottish Funding Council, HEFCW and DfENI.
The report is commissioned by Research England and forms part if their evidence base for current and future strategy. Going forwards for the 2019 report we are working with BEIS, Research England and UKRI to ensure that the document can be used as an index and collection of evidence of UK university-business collaboration. This will allow it to act as evidence required for such instances as PMQs and funding decisions by the aforementioned organisations.
