Abstract
Commissioned open-access article (2,500 words) on the first major woman artist to emerge from Belfast School of Art - the sculptor, painter and designer S.R. Praeger (1867-1954) - for ArtUK's website. It looks at her career as an artist and activist c.1890s-1950s esp. her role in the campaign for women's rights and her support of women artists.
