Abstract
As we reach the end of the work in developing Briefing Papers, we can reflect on what was achieved, what worked and what did not. The hope is that this work will continue to inform and possibly influence people for some time. These might be members of the public, individuals involved in education, or even decision makers. They papers were, from the outset, designed to foster debate. While some did ruffle feathers and provoke pearl-clutching in some quarters, the papers raised issues which we thought needed to be raised, and each heralded some level of public debate about issues which would otherwise not have been on the radar.
