title = "Sea Mirror: Installation - Galway , Ireland",
abstract = "Through a series of works Sander examines how our experience of space has changed from a sociological point of view and reappraises the visual and spatial structures that inform current notions of space. He seeks to move beyond shaping of space as {\textquoteleft}de facto{\textquoteright} representational image towards an idea of mutuality and embodied form. In this artwork he translated his observation and study how the colour of the ocean changes according to light and reflection into a body of work followed by a large-scale installation. His sculptures and installations focus on the subjectivity of time and space. In this installation Sander is collapsing realities through his manipulation of nature which sees him replicating the way we experience landscapes. He re-invented a traditional genre in a completely new form. The seascape, a painting, or other work of art which depicts the sea, in other words an example of marine art. The word seascape was first recorded and coined in 1790 Smithsonian noted in 2016 that the first use it found was 1804. The term was modelled after the word landscape. This Sea Mirrors by R.Sander enable the viewer to look at a seascape that is animated.Reality is an abstract term we feed with definitions we agree on in order to live together. It{\textquoteright}s like the measurement, weight, or value system—it{\textquoteright}s all invented,” Alicja Kwade argues. The viewer would see clouds and the sea in a certain mode. But a bird might fly through the image an become a part of it. The clouds change permanently and also the size and colour of the waves. This artistic installation is based on the evaluation of the artists observations according to the colours and shape of the sea and a rigorous development of the actual object through numerous experiments with materials and shapes to develop the most optimal results. The Sea Mirror is a continuation of Sander`s research into the mirror or reflection space and its possibilities for fine art.",
