Abstract
The monograph developed following the revision of Mac Mathúna's "The Question of Irish Analogues in Old Norse-Icelandic Voyage Tales in the fornaldarsögur and the Gesta Danorum of Saxo Grammaticus”, published in Egeler, M., and W. Heizmann, eds., Between the Worlds. Contexts, Sources and Analogues of Scandinavian Otherworld Journeys. Ergänzungsbände zum Reallexikon der Germanischen Altertumskunde 118. Berlin/Boston. 283–345. ). The latter contains a shorter and amended version, while the book presents the full argument, reviewing Mac Mathúna's previous publications on various subjects dealt in the present work.
