Abstract

22 artists from around the world have been selected for this 30 year anniversary exhibition, drawn from participants (Moore, 1998) of the Panevezys International Ceramics Symposium, Lithuania. since its inception over 30 years ago. Initially run by graduates of the Vilnius Institute of Art in 1997 at the Panevezys Glass Factory (still its location today) the first international symposium was organised in 1989.
Since 1990 the symposia have been organised by Jolanta Lebednykiene, Director of the Panevezys Civic Art Gallery, who eventually organised 20 annual symposia. Michael Moore was invited to participate in the 1998 Symposium. All his works were acquired to the permanent collection of the Panevezys Civic Art Gallery. In June 2019, 'Rotation' by Michael Moore was included in 'Keramiada' Three decades of Panevėžys international ceramic symposium.
