Abstract
This heritage Lottery funded project commissioned The Centre for Data Digitisation (CDDA) at QUB to clean and digitise the 1600 glass plates to be restored. Every plate was scanned, listed and categorised and can be viewed on the website. These plates cover a unique collection of photographic glass plates from the William Liddell Damask weaving company based in Donachloney.
Belford then led discussions with a design company to enable a user-friendly interface for widening access of the database with the wider public.
