Abstract
Religions and religious differences are one of the most common causes of internal and international conflicts today. This article proposes to understand the links between religions and conflicts as the result of an interaction between religious doctrine, the sociological dimension of churches, and the evolution of the context in which they operate. The contribution examines how religions can cause conflicts, or contribute to their violent escalation.
