Abstract

This case study emphasises the role of open research in improving the transparency and reproducibility of research. It highlights reproducibility fostering innovation; where the use of open-source datasets and tools has enabled the development of an emotion recognition system. It has also led to technical improvements to an existing tool, contributing to learning across the open source software community.
