Abstract
Process Books 17 forms part of an ongoing series of books comprised of screen-printed test prints created from multiple typographic ‘events.’ These events undertake analog and digital approaches to consider the visual and material attributes of language. The overprinting of the typographic forms creates moments of interruption and dialogue while fostering chance collisions and discovery.
These Process Books series form part of wider research into the materiality of language where typography is disrupted and expanded, challenging the patriarchal logic and fixity of language, to deepen understanding of graphic design and typography as a critical and creative practice.
