    Abstract

    Essay exploring the links between creativity, arts production, community arts and arts in the public sphere and issues of classification and status. Drawing on a range of case studies researched as part of this AHRC funded Nature of Creativity Research Networks and Workshop Scheme Grant, the essay evaluates community arts case material and their wider contribution to society and the arts.
