Abstract

This chapter discusses language policies in the field of university teaching and research. This is an area of language policy that has become the subject of intense political and ideological debate over the past two decades and has raised numerous controversies at the national and international levels. It is therefore a good example to discuss the relationship between linguistic diversity, ideology and language policy.
