Abstract

'Midwatch' (1998) included in 'Locus Suspectus: Where the Hidden Comes to Light' (2004) exhibition curated by Pauline Cummins and Sandra Vida as guest curators in the Ormeau Baths Gallery, Belfast and as a touring exhibition to Calgary, Saskatoon Canada. Locus Suspectus...where the hidden comes to light was an exhibition of video works from Ireland and Canada which evolved from the curators' participation in the Banff Centre’s 1992 artists residency The Instability of the Feminist Subject. The exhibition included thirteen video works focused on how women’s image of themselves- their status, their point of view, their identity, their social role, their sexuality, ability to take action in the world- had changed over the last three decades.

Artists included: Nadine McDonogh, Cooper Battersby, Emily Vey Duke, Sheila Urbonski, Shelley Nero, Monique Moumblow, Manon Labreque, Karen Earl, Frances Hegarty, Moira McIver, Ciara Moore, Mark Palmer, Augustine O'Donoghue.
