Abstract

InfoSoft was founded in 2007 in Belfast, Northern Ireland. As a software company it has grown its offering to provide solutions for a variety of businesses with, for example, Foodman targeted at the food industry, BluSnake providing a customisable platform for digitised business monitoring and other solutions to support business management such as mobile workers. The company provide software solutions for asset management from human to technical to mechanical with bespoke solutions for some industry stakeholders using a solution, solution and service or solution and/or service with hardware. InfoSoft have developed extensive expertise and competencies in their industry and have grown organically through more informal approaches to date. As the software industry evolves even further and the demand for automation, monitoring and compliance becomes greater it is important that InfoSoft take a more strategic approach to their business activities and practices to build upon their successes to date, capitalising on their industry competencies and develop a stronger competitive position in the market which will require more proactive use of intelligence, consumer insights and trends to develop and enhance the product offering through extension, innovation and commercialisation for new customers whilst also formalising customer relationship management to build on existing sales relationships. As a small business the approach to growth to date has allowed flexibility and personalisation with customers but size also restricts how much the company can achieve in terms of employee numbers and reliance on the business owner, Brano.
