Abstract

Conference paper presented at 10th ISSEI conference European Mind: Narrative and Identity (Malta 2006). The paper investigates the role of subjectivity and memory in relation to material culture and places of commemoration in Belfast. It was presented in WORKSHOP 1 Places, Narratives and lieux de mémoire: The Role of the Past in the Present, and chaired by Hans-Jakob Ågotnes.
