Abstract

Intersect presents new and recent studio based research practice which examines location, place, topography and mapping. This activity comes under the direct influence of the topography and architecture of Armagh City and County. Research activity included drawing, walking, photography and map references leading to a new series of ceramic forms including 'Intersect' , 'Cathedral' and 'Double Cross'. Intersect also features new 'Grid Form' works which also examine mapping and topographical references unique to Armagh City. They are also a new departure in glaze (application) research, new to Moore's studio based research actibity.
