"Installation" Thethirdspace Gallery, Belfast, 2008

Research output: Non-textual formExhibition

Abstract

This work explores, through situation specific installation, the sculptural possibilities of two characteristics of liquid; level and reflection and their ability to interrogate and describe architectural space. Developed specifically for the unique space of the Gallery, this work encourages the viewer to enter the space and encounter the specifics of the volume through the reflective "pools". These characteristics are for the purposes of this work expressed as reflective glass discs which both establish level and volume (below) and witness the remaining void (above), whilst allowing the audience to navigate the space.
