Abstract
Journal of Disappearance Studies (JDS) associate editor Cath Collins spoke to Rainer Huhle, longtime human rights defender and expert in the struggle against disappearance, about the UN’s Guiding Principles on the Search for Disappeared Persons, adopted by the UN Committee on Enforced Disappearances in 2019. The interview took place in Nuremberg, Germany, in October 2025, against the backdrop of a Nuremberg Forum event commemorating 80 years since the beginning of the Nuremberg Trials.
