Abstract

'Held' depicts a locket containing tiny female porcelain figures and human hair being held. It comments on the need to support, protect and care for the self and others. This video was shown as part of 'Lass Struggle', FiLiArt: Feminism, Class and ART exhibition at FiLiA Conference 14th-15th October 2017. FiLiA is an international annual feminist conference, it addresses a wide range of issues from feminist history to women's human rights. FiLiA focuses on networking, activism, and policy as well as academic discourse.
