Abstract
The Wireless Campus strand of the Northern Ireland Broadband Flagship Project sought to create a wireless-enabledteaching and learning environment for students and lecturers on the Magee campus of the University of Ulster. This wasachieved through the provision of three key elements: wireless campus and networking services, the Tablet PC mandate, andthe development of smart classroom environments. A consideration of the project and its implementation is presented, alongwith recommendations for future initiatives to encourage the deployment of mobile learning in higher education
