Abstract

The proposed session, ‘From Global to Local: Advancing PRME at the Local and Regional Levels’, explores the current and potential development of PRME across regional and local contexts. It examines how both PRME Chapters and individual Signatory schools can partner with a range of stakeholders, including academic institutions, business leaders, policymakers, and students, to identify and respond to local needs and challenges. The session will include a short case study on the PRME Chapter UK & Ireland Local Networks (LNs), seven regional forums for PRME Signatories to collaborate, share best practice, engage with and develop the PRME Principles and Sustainable Development Goals at a more localised level. The LNs offer a vehicle to promote PRME, to organise and participate in local events, themed conferences, and other activities. In addition, significant time will be devoted to discussion and the generation of ideas, allowing participants to describe their own experiences and suggest future initiatives. A Padlet will be used to capture the ideas put forward during the session. These will be developed into a blog for publication following the event. It is anticipated that this will be of value to both Chapters and individual Signatories. Ultimately, the aim of the workshop is to inspire actionable strategies for fostering responsible management education and creating sustainable impact within diverse local and regional environments.
