Abstract

The potential of female entrepreneurship to address key SDGs is significant, and regional female entrepreneurship is an emerging area of interest for theory, policy and practice. This symposium is organised by the Atlantic Futures research project with the aim of examining the community and policy supports needed to enable the potential of female entrepreneurship to reduce regional economic inequality. We will bring together entrepreneurs’ case stories, key stakeholders, as well as academic discussion on the shape and direction of this emerging field of intersectional approaches to entrepreneurial ecosystems and regional innnovation systems.
