Abstract

'Double Walled Form' by Michael Moore 2014, made during Moore's 2014 Artists Residency at the New Taipei City Ceramics Museum has been selected for 'A Touch of Pottery, Tactile Ceramic Art' Nov-December 2014. 'Through display of exhibits, guidance and experience, the exhibition A touch of Pottery-Tactile Ceramic Art Exhibition allows visitors to understand ceramic art through touch. The world within the texture of ceramics is entered through touch; ceramic works in different shapes can be touched, various decorating techniques, firing form changes and the beauty of everyday utensils can be understood, opening up a sensory journey beyond sight and developing the memory of bodily aesthetics'.
