Abstract

This book records the proceedings of a symposium, sponsored by the Cultural Traditions Group of the Community Relations Council and hosted by media Studies at the University of Ulster, Coleraine, which looked the role of broadcasting in supporting, promoting and challenging notions of cultural or national identity. There is a contextualising introductory essay from the editor.
