CPiP Participatory Skills Framework

    Research output: Book/ReportCommissioned report

    Abstract

The purpose of this Skills Framework is to help support actors interested in understanding the core skills for place-based participation, in particular, the work of land use/spatial planners, community planning officers, local government officers, community activists and others. It has been informed by the learning captured from the Community Participation in Planning (CPiP) project, particularly reflecting on the experience from the cities of Aveiro, Belfast and Milan. The supporting Learning Report is presented in a separate document and has been created to provide an overview of the CPiP project, disseminate the learning captured and support the development of this skills framework. In addition to practitioners and community activists, the Skills Framework has been created to help support students interested in understanding and developing core skills for place-based community participation in planning.
