    Abstract

James Joyce Workshop: Joycepapers. Zurich Joyce Foundation 10 August 2013.This presentation departed from artwork that uses typographic formulations and the object of the book, in order to respond to Joyce's work. I then presented concepts of Conceptual Writing, where Joyce is virtually absent as the founding figure he could / should be.Turning to more recent debates surrounding "conceptualisms" and "impure" appropriation in and of text, Joyce surfaces more strongly - and artists have turned to him and presented in their work an advanced analysis of how Joyce and conceptual writing can be linked.
