Abstract
Our paper introduces the emerging practice of using educational escape rooms as a tool for climate action (SDG 13), presenting insights from the Climate Action Escape Room (CAER) project, a cross university/partner initiative spanning seven UK cities. The CAER project addresses the "knowledge-to-action gap" in climate education through immersive, game-based learning. Aligning with PRME Principles 5 and 6, it showcases a novel, partnership driven approach to engaging communities in climate literacy and action oriented behavioural change. Built upon the foundations of Climate Literacy Training, and the i5 framework, we discuss how creative pedagogies can support organisational climate commitments, advance sustainability communication, and strengthen multi stakeholder partnerships for societal impact.
