Abstract
The Catalyst project was developed by the Centre for Youth Research and Dialogue to respond to feedback from training providers about the growing numbers of young people who experience barriers to participation in employment and employability programmes. The Catalyst team created bespoke training for Skills for Life and Work Providers (SfLW) with greater emphasis on supporting young people via a youth work
approach. This 2026 report captures the learning and opportunities of youth work methodologies for marginalised young people.
