Abstract
The purpose of this conference was to (re)introduce the art and literary critic/historian Carola Giedion-Welcker to English-spaking audiences. Her friends (and children) attended and contrubuted substantially, as well as young scholars. The breadth of her interests became apparent as being in keeping with current concerns in the study of sculpture.
