Abstract

Invited talk by NI Pain society, to identify innovations within Design for Health, relating to Pain. This talk documents three case studies. Firstly the origins of Magee's clinical research (p9-23) showing the benefit of his publications in the Journal of Anatomy (2012) and Journal of Spine (2015) to current applications in Machine Learning for 3D Medical Printing company axial3D (KTP Partner). The second case study outlines the co-creative research process and relevance of quantitative digital anatomy within the Pressure Ulcer Prevention Innovation (PUPI) (p24-31). Case study 3, documents the multi-component research involved in the development of the BowEasy device (p32-44), sharing some of the highlight findings through the innovation process towards commercial product, benefiting end users.
