    Abstract

In 1976 RTE broadcast three plays by Eugene McCabe set in the border area of south Fermanagh and north Monaghan. The article considers the themes of sectarianism, power and violence raised in the plays within the context of debates about how Northern Ireland deals with the past and the issues around victimhood
