Abstract

Working in children’s services for all health professionals is an exciting and challenging field of practice. It could be argued that being person‐centred in children’s services adds another layer of complexity to an already complicated picture. By and large, we think of being personcentred as something that is relational, that happens between adults where the interpersonal connection is immediate and direct. We work with children, however, and whilst we still enjoy a direct connection that respects the child’s personhood, we must consider the significant others who will be (and must be) involved.
