An object oriented DSM framework

    Abstract

    This paper briefly outlines the motivations for, and the development of an Object Oriented DSM system which provided a framework for programming with DSM. It provides customizable consistency, coherence, and communication modes via appropriate class hierarchies. This papers specifically considers the consistency models. The intention is to provide a DSM interface which can be used to develop a wide range of applications in a portable and consistent manner, across a wide variety of hardware platforms.
