Abstract
In this international Art and Design Practice PhD conference, I presented the Univesrity of Ulster's long-standing experience, cohort and processes. I critically assessed my time as Head of Resarch Graduate School for four years. I also reflected on "added value" from PhDs to institutional culture and Northern Ireland in general.
