Abstract

An autonomic approach for responding to security incidents is proposed, which aims to replace traditionally people intensive, reactive, and technically complex methods for responding to security incidents. In addition, the approach provides the ability for systems to evolve in response to the nature of the attacks, building an immunity iteratively based on real environmental conditions. The solution works alongside existing systems and controls, addressing failures to resolve the complexities of security engineering in heterogenous systems spanning endpoints, traditional data centres, private cloud, and public cloud.
