Abstract
Interface will present a large scale public art project situated across 36 Belfast city-centre locations, where artists have been invited to produce a 48-sheet billboard image. Artists' work will appear alongside advertising sites during the busiest shopping period of the year, leading up to christmas.Alternative Ulster is a documentation of graffitti on a construction hoarding - part of a series of images made around this haording and construction project. The building being constructed is the Obel Tower - and it's slogan is "Belfast Biggest building - living with your head in the clouds". The graffitti references the Belfast Punk band Stiff Little Fingers and their famous 1979 song "Alternative Ulster".
