Abstract
We are living through a moment in which artificial intelligence is rapidly reshaping the world around us. For professionals engaged in peacebuilding, reconciliation, transitional justice, and post-conflict reconstruction, these developments are far from abstract. The ways in which AI can be utilised, both presently and in future scenarios, will have significant real-world implications. It is crucial to acknowledge AI's potential to reshape human relationships, redefine the nature of warfare and peace, and impact the very survival of our species. Consequently, a comprehensive examination of AI's implications is essential. A human rights-based approach to AI emerges as an optimal starting point for addressing these pressing concerns.
